After coming up with our stop motion animations we had to create an animation on slide shows or google slides and this is what I came up with. It is about a hunter that has found a deer and stalked up on it then shoot it and now it's dinner.

This year Me and Tom teamed up to work on a environmentally safe project but we didn't finish so we had to do a poster about itsted. Even though it was put together very fast and scrapy its still good and we have put it on our blogs for viewers like you to see.

Whanara Farm trip

On the eleventh of june 2018 room five from makaraka school went to whangara farms to learn more about our grass test samples in our green houses. We were all really excited even though it was raining and muddy in the morning.

We arrived at the main sheed and after a brief discussion we went further up the farm to the weather reader. We had to walk up to it but it wasn't far and by that time the rain was gone. Androw the farm manager told us what it did and what it measured. It had a wind catcher and a direction reader. There was also a rain catcher and measuring system.He passed around his phone so we could see the grid measurement.

We then went even further into the farm to look at the trees that they were growing to keep in the soil in place. There were two trees willow for by the river and popolas for on the dry. They told us about were they put them and what happened without them there. Then they showed us all the slips and how high the water came up to.

Then we jumped back on the bus and went back to the main sheed and had lunch. Mr Swann tock some photos of us and then we went back to the bus and sat down to heed back to school.


We all had a really good and fun day. thank you to all the parents and teachers that helped us have this fun and happy day.

Goals of the week term 2

Here are my goals for Term 2. each week we get given a quote and we have to reflect on it by righting what it means and why one word was used then we right our goals of the week witch are learning, Behavior and social goals then reflect on our last weeks goals.

This term and next term we have and will be learning about the story of whirikoka and oioi his pet seal and the oil that came out of oioi's fat and that the Gisborne oil co struck oil in 1909 in the same place oioi died and whether it's his or not so we writ theas articles about it and what we could find out about oil and what it is.
